What do you like about Coldfusion: What's not to like? Off the top of my head...
- the j2ee (that's not even a sentence!)
- event gateways
- services & integration (web services, cfhttp, etc) dare I say SOA...?
- security, flex, ajax, lcds
- CFCs rock :)

What other technologies do you use?: Java, **ML, Javascript, PHP, Flash... on the rise: Flex, Air, FBML :)

I'm trying to get CF8 running on OpenSolaris 11, if anyone wants to help that'd be great. My unixability is slowing me down.

Tried the installer (Coldfusion-8-sol.bin) - didn't get far.

Now I'm doodling with Geronimo and Tomcat. By doodling I mean - how to I extract these dang tar.gz files...?
