This is my first post to the CF Community space. It is nice to find the community website via the CF United conference. It will certainly help to get to know the community more.
Well, CF United is now a week in the past. It was a great experience. Thank you to the Tera Tech crew and all their hard work, and to all the sponsors. This was my first CF related conference and it was a learning experience. It was also great to have Eric and Dave along from Virginia Mason, and meeting the Palmetto Health gang to discuss in person issues both organizations are having with their Medseek product (CF based Content Management System for Healthcare).
Thank you to all the presenters. I attended mostly the Advance and Framework related sessions and for the most part they were all great. The most practical sessions for where I am currently at were Mark Drew's Coldspring Configuration session, Peter Bell's RAD OO, and Kurt Wiersma's Leveraging Popular Cold Fusion Framework's. The most challenging sessions (from in-depth level of content) were definately Sean Corfield's Event-Driven Programming and the blow-your-mind-out Cold Fusion Internal's session by Elliot Sprehn. The most disappointing session was the CF Threads issue, mainly due to the presentation. It might have been because I attended on Saturday and the energy of the conference was starting to wane at that point.
I look forward to posting more as I dive into Transfer, Coldspring, CFEclipse, and CFUnit.
