- What do you like about Coldfusion
- Rapid application development. The ability to utilize an OOP style developement. Instant plugin to Flex / AIR. Nifty tags like PDF, Presentation, playing with the Exchange server and Outlook.
- What other technologies do you use?
- Model-Glue, Reactor, ColdSpring, Mach-II, Transfer and the usual assortment of other things: Flex, AIR, ActionScript, Flash, SQL, Oracle, Ajax, CSS, JavaScript
- About Me:
- Happily married and have a wonderful son, Gabe, who was born April 19th. Wife loves photography and we finally got her her first SLR camera and lenses.
Working for University of Michigan Health Systems as a ColdFusion Architect and aspiring Flex Developer.
Still putting the final touches on a major complete redevelopment of the law school web site from old procedual to MG:Unity.
If you look at it, be nice. I didn't design it. It looks horrible.. :)
Other than that I am an active donor to animal rescues and creating a petfinder-type web site that offers rescues and shelters a real web site verses a one static html page. Working on the concept isavepets.com which will be the public search engine and custom site generator using Model-Glue, Reactor, and Coldspring.

My baby boy
Just wanted to post a small blog to say that I am back to work officially after my wife had our first child, a beautiful healthly baby boy, Gabriel Edward Kolcz, last Wednesday. He is 2 weeks as of yesterday.
Having a child, as some/most of you know, changes everything in life. I am happy and worried all the time now.

Does anyone have experience with or know if it's possible to use CF as middle ware between hardware and db? Eg a measuring device of which the results are stored in the db?
For the developers that want to make it look good, for the designers that want to make it functional, for those control freaks with web-ADD who have to do it all!
