Derby (open source database engine newly included with CF8)

If you've not noticed, one of the many new features in CF8 is the Apache Derby database. I'm sure as people start exploring it they'll want to share what they learn (or seek help from others). This seems a good place to get that conversation started.

I use layerblue http://www.layerblue.com/ they've been good to me, the are only on cf7 though... but depends what you need.
