Senior Cold Fusion/SQL Programmer Needed - Fulltime, Telecommuter, or Freelance

NO RECRUITERS OR DESIGNERS, PLEASE.

ABOUT US:
We are a small, web development firm based in Manhattan. We work on all aspects of custom web development projects from design to application and database programming.

To give you an idea of some of the work we do, take a look at our latest project, http://www.trunkt.org. This is a data-driven flash site built on CF8 and SQL 2008. One of the nicest features is a flash interface that pulls a changing XML file to display different images and data. This is the kind of work we will be doing in the future, as well.

We are a small organization and you'll be a key person, so you'll need to contribute from day 1.

We've posted and hired from this board previously. We have new projects in the pipeline, so we need to hire another developer shortly.

CF8/CFC/SQL PRO:
The ideal Senior Developer will be capable of advanced object oriented/CFC and SQL programming, be able to completely architect web-based software/databases and then build them from the ground-up all by themselves. This includes administering our Win 2003 Servers, our MS SQL 2008 Databases and our Cold Fusion 8 Application Servers.

It's also extremely helpful if the developer is a free-thinker and good problem solver. We don't just want someone who can develop great software, but we also want someone who will help us improve all of our offerings.

Other members of our team will handle interface design, project management, consulting, requirements gathering, and project specifications.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
1. Generate accurate estimates on development time
2. Configure and Administer Windows 2003 servers
3. Software Architecting
4. Cold Fusion 8 Programming
5. High Level Object Oriented or CFC Programming
6. Relational database design, data normalization
7. SQL 2005/2008 Programming
8. XML, XSL, XSLT
9. CSS
10. HTML, DHTML, XHTML
11. JavaScript
12. Good code commenting habits
13. Good written and verbal communication skills.
14. Support junior developers where necessary

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, EE, or CS, etc. or equivalent experience.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
* 2+ years of producing systems that went into commercial production.

JOB CLASSIFICATION:
This position is classified as full time, temporary. You can work in the office or telecommute. It's your choice. Position will convert to permanent after 90 days. However, we will also consider applications from freelancers.

BENEFITS:
The Full Time Position comes with a standard benefits package including health, dental, and paid vacation after 90 day probationary period.

APPLICATION INFORMATION/CODE EVALUATION:
Our online application requires that you upload a resume and an example of your code for evaluation, so make sure that your code sufficiently demonstrates the level of your expertise. Our suggestion is to zip-up a few of your Cold Fusion files that show high level CFC or Object-Oriented Programming. Make sure you also include a form or two and something with a generous amount of SQL code in it.

ONLINE APPLICATION:
Please use our on line application to apply for this position at

Since you have mentioned telecommuting is OK, we are a Dallas based IT Services & Solutions Co. with a strong niche practice in ColdFusion. We have a team of 40 Engineers, mostly Adobe certified programmers.

Please let me know if Offshore (India/China) is an option. If not, then we can decide on sending one of our Programmers to work for you from our Dallas Development offices.

Please advice. Thanks! Ravi
